The invasion took place around 5 a.m. on Oct. 22, 2018, when the residents were getting ready for work, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams.
The victims reported that at approximately 5 a.m., they heard knocking on the door of their apartment. After initially disregarding the knocking, they opened the door at which time they were confronted by two men and a woman who forced their way inside the apartment, Williams said.
One of the suspects was carrying a large, kitchen-type knife and went into a bedroom stealing more than $1,200, before fleeing the apartment.
One of the residents recognized the female suspect, identified as Alexis "Koala" Brown, 27, of Niantic, allowing police to further investigate and identify the other two suspects, who confessed to the crime, Williams said.
Brown was arrested on Jan. 25 and charged with home invasion, larceny, conspiracy to commit home invasion and conspiracy to commit larceny. She was being held on $25,000 bond.
